Alyson Lee Hannigan was born on 24th March 1974 in Washington DC to her parents Al and Emilie. Her parents divorced when Aly was only 2 and since about 3-4 years of age, she took interest in acting, landing her first television job at 4 years doing a commercial. At the age of 14 she played the part of Dan Aykroyds daughter in 'My Stepmother is an alien' - her first film.
Since then, Aly has appeared in many television sitcoms as different characters and herself. One of the biggest achievements of her career was in 1996 when she landed the part of Willow in the hit tv program 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' and she still continues to play that famous role to this very day. Between then she has starred in the film 'American Pie' and the sequel 'American Pie 2' playing the sexy band geek!
Alyson is known world wide for her famous roles and we all hope to see more of her and hopefully an 'American Pie 3'...

Things we never knew about Aly ... (or if you did, you didn't tell me!)
- When Alyson was a child she had an imaginary sister named Jenny.
- Custard Pie is her favourite food.
- She still has a scar on her chin from an accident during a game of Marco Polo.
- Alyson was proposed to by her first long-term boyfrind but turned him down because it was too early in her life for her (lucky for Alexis!)
- Alyson played the voice of 'Gerda' in an episode of 'The Wild Thornberrys.'
- Alyson currently resides in California's captital, Sacramento.

Where has she been?
Alyson presented an award (best on-screen team, won by Lord of the rings) at MTV's 2003 movie awards alongside her fellow american pie-er Jason Biggs! It was so cute as Aly kept finishing Jason's sentences and at the post-show announced Candy is her favourite food especially nerds on gummy rope and when Jason joked that he wanted a different co-presenter, she wailed out loud (the cutest fake cry ever!)

FILMS:
My Stepmother is an alien (1988)
Alyson played the character Jessie Mills. This film is about Jessie's father, Steven Mills who falls in love with an alien who came to Earth to stop the humans from attacking them (the humans had accidentally sent energy to them which threatens them.)
This film is very old and hard to get hold of but a must have for any big Aly fan!
Dead Man on Campus (1999)
Alyson plays the character Lucy. She doesn't have a very big role but it's worth seeing as Alyson has her long hair that all got chopped off before the third season of Buffy.
American Pie (1999)
Alyson plays Michelle the band geek. The films about a group of guys who make a pact - to lose their virginity before the prom. A very funny film with an unexpected twist. WATCH IT!!!

Alyson plays Jenna Jakes. Can't say anything about it because i've not seen it - oops.
Boys and Girls (2000)
Alyson is Betty , the girlfriend of the character played by Freddie Prinze jr.....yummy!
American Pie 2 (2001)
Alyson's back as Michelle in the sequel to the first movie. More funny jokes and Michelle teaches Jim (Jason Biggs) how to kiss properly and what a girl likes.....
